Connect Android to eduroam wi-fi

How to connect an Android device to eduroam wi-fi.

These instructions were created using a Samsung Galaxy S3 running Android 4.4 (KitKat). Steps may vary depending on your software version and phone model.
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. On the Connections tab, select Wi-Fi and make sure it's turned on.
  3. Scan for networks and select eduroam.
  4. Now enter the following information, and then select Connect.
    EAP method PEAP
    Phase 2 authentication MSCHAPV2
    CA certificate (unspecified)
    Identity Enter your Essex ID
    Enter password Enter your Essex password
  5. You should now be connected to eduroam wi-fi.

  2. Select Network connections.
  3. Select Wi-Fi.
  4. Scan for available networks, and then select eduroam.
  5. Now enter the following information, and then select Connect.
    EAP method PEAP
    Phase 2 authentication MSCHAPV2
    CA certificate (unspecified)
    Identity Enter your Essex ID
    Enter password Enter your Essex password
  6. You should now be connected to eduroam wi-fi.
